How Does CEREC® Work?
CEREC® dental restorations are designed and crafted in the same manner as their traditional counterparts, but the entire process is completed in just one appointment. First, we prepare the tooth removing any damaged tissue and smoothing the enamel. Then, we use the CEREC® system to capture precise digital bite impressions that are immediately available on chairside computer monitors where our dentists can quickly design a custom restoration. The impressions and designs are sent to an in-office milling unit where a single block of high-quality ceramic is crafted to meet these exacting specifications. Once the final restoration is completed, we place, seal, and polish the repaired tooth leaving patients with a beautiful smile in just one visit. No need to visit our team multiple times or place and remove a temporary crown. After just one appointment, patients leave with a fully restored smile.
